The NMCRS is a private, nonprofit charitable, volunteer, service organization started in 1904. The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society was founded to provide financial assistance for short-term emergencies. Generally the NMCRS provides assistance in the form of no interest loans or grants in the areas of emergency travel, food, rent/mortgage, utilities, medical/dental, disaster relief assistance, funeral expenses, and essential vehicle and home repairs. In addition, we have a Budgeting for Baby program and a free “Junior Sea Bag” valued at $65, is given at the end of each class. The NMCRS also has education programs.
